Drop C Tuning

People with special interests in heavy sounds must definitely explore Drop C. The tuning is pretty simple to understand. All you've got to do is tune Low E to C, and the rest of the strings should be tuned a full step lower. This means that the standard E A D G B E becomes C G C F A D. If you wish to experiment with it for fun, you may do so with standard strings, but if you wish to get optimal results, you should consider upgrading to a thicker string set.”

Fun Fact

If you are in Drop C and wish to tune up to Drop D, you don’t need to readjust the strings. All you gotta do is put a capo on the 2nd fret, you’ll have Drop D.
